Welcome to the Piedmont Basketball Foundation website. We are now forming teams to participate in the 2011 MVP Flight Spring basketball league!

We have made exciting improvements to our program this year! For the first time, PBBF is including customized skill development sessions run by experienced Triple Threat Academy and/or varsity level trainers. Our goal is to teach every young player fundamental basketball skills that will allow them to compete with confidence at the MVP level and to build a solid foundation for their future basketball development. In addition to these supplemental skill development sessions, our registration fee of $395 includes brand new uniforms for 2011! It is our objective to offer a reasonably priced, high quality youth basketball program, to families in Piedmont and surrounding communities, which is on par with other popular basketball programs in the East Bay. You will find that our all-inclusive fee is $55 to $220 less than other comparable programs. PBBF does offer limited scholarship opportunities. All applications are strictly confidential. Email inquiries should be directed to

Our objective is to instill in all players a lifelong love of basketball. They will learn the fundamental elements of the game–team offenses and defenses, game strategies, individual skills and moves, teamwork, and positive, competitive play.

Our coaches are members of our local basketball community and volunteer parents, all of whom typically have significant basketball experience either as former players or coaches. All have prior youth basketball coaching experience and are individually selected by our Director of Coaching.

The MVP Spring League is a competitive league. We do not expect players to be committed exclusively to basketball–we understand that there are other sports and commitments this time of year–though we do expect all players to have a strong interest in the game, a positive attitude, and to attend most practices and games–to ensure the best possible experience for them and their teammates.

Tryouts will be held in early February and team rosters will be announced in mid February. Practices will begin in mid-February and will consist of 1-2 one and a half hour sessions per week. The MVP Spring League games begin in mid-March. There are 8 league games (plus one extra weekend of playoffs for the top four teams in each division) played each weekend through mid-May.

Register now by clicking on the link below! Tryout dates will be posted on this page as they are confirmed—so if you don’t see your players time please check back often. We are looking forward to another fun season on the courts! Come join us!
